Sherese Martin, MA, Rolls Royce
Chair
Sherese lives in Fishers with her daughter (21) who is attending the University of Kentucky and Lhasa Apso grand dog. She is currently a HR Manager at Rolls-Royce, Associate Faculty Member at IUPUI and HR Director for Conduct Curb-Autism Behavior Center. Sherese has had a progressive career, working as a Sr. HR Business Partner at FedEx Ground, HR Director at Project Lead the Way, EEO/Affirmative Action & Recruitment Specialist at St. Vincent Hospital and HR Representative at Firestone Building Products. During her 17-year HR career, she has focused on Strategic Human Resources Management, team building, change management, organizational design, process & project Management, DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), -positive employee relations, employment law, policy development & implementation, training & development, research, and analysis.
Sherese is a proud member of the Heart and Soul Free Clinic Board, National Coalition of 100 Black Women-Indianapolis Chapter, Hamilton County Ambassador (Invest Hamilton County), Hamilton County Leadership Academy (HCLA) Alumni-Class of 2022, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Society of Human Resource Management, and Riverview Health Foundation Committee Member. Sherese is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Human Resources Management. Sherese has also obtained her PHR Certification (Professional in Human Resources), SHRM-CP Certification, (Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional), CSSGB (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt), Inclusive and Ethical Leadership Certificate and Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate.
In her free time, Sherese enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering, trying new things, cooking, traveling, DIY/Arts & Crafts home projects, yoga, cycling, working out, and singing.

Doug Fauth, JD
Vice Chair
Doug is a corporate attorney with a focus on strategic planning and transactions. He is married to Melanie, a healthcare executive who operates companies offering consulting services and mind-body-medicine programs. They have three sons and one daughter-in-law (and one D-I-L to be), and enjoy the outdoors, attending concerts and travel.

Ruben Alicea, Maxim Healthcare Services
Treasurer
Business Development Manager with 20 years experience in sales and market development for some of the world’s largest brands to healthcare solutions. Ruben is dedicated to the growth and awareness of the Heart & Soul Free Clinic. With a passion for volunteering and giving back to his community, he hopes to have an impact on those to which we serve.

Paul Kaushal, JD, Kaushal Law, LLC
Secretary
Paul lives in Westfield with his family. He works in Indianapolis as an attorney in the public sector. Paul enjoys serving on the Heart and Soul Clinic because it gives him an opportunity to give back to his community. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Hamilton County with his friends and family.

My wife, Christina, and my sons Logan, Jackson, and Tyson and I have lived in Westfield for 11 years. We attend Northview Church. I serve on the Westfield City Council and am the president of the Wellbeing Coalition of Westfield. I work at Westfield High School as the Dean of Wellness and Head Football Coach.
Cynthia Brumbarger, BSN, M. ED, HealthNet, Inc

Cindy Brumbarger comes to the clinic with more than 7 years of experience as a critical care nurse. She now focuses on healthcare administration including various board positions and currently works for HealthNet as a director. She is a Westfield resident for over 25 years with a husband and 2 adult sons. Cindy and her husband Ron homeschooled their sons while touring the country in an RV and have visited every state in the continental US + Alaska! Cindy is also an annual Disney passholder and loves to hike.
Catherine Middleton

Catherine is a physical therapist by background having served for the last 28 years as the senior leader for Therapeutic Services and Rehabilitation for Ascension St. Vincent Hospitals. She graduated from Northwestern University Programs in Physical Therapy and earned her MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She has lived in Carmel for 35 years raising three children. Ryan, Ben, and Sophia. She is a member of Venture Christian Church and has a passion for volunteering which led her to the Heart and Soul Free Clinic. She volunteers at the clinic Wed evenings and truly enjoys working with the wonderful staff and fellow volunteers.

Hilary Herendeen, MSN, FNP-C, Riverview Health
Member
Hilary is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who currently serves as the Director of Employer Services for Riverview Health. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Health Administration (Indiana University) and Nursing (Marian University), a master’s in Nursing (University of Saint Francis) and is currently pursuing an MBA through the Kelley School of Business (Indiana University). Hilary joined the Heart and Soul Free Clinic Board in 2022 and is passionate about providing access to quality care in central Indiana.
Hilary currently resides in Fishers with her husband, Wes, and their two children, Charlotte and Jack. They enjoy boating, swimming, visiting local parks/playgrounds and cheering on the Hoosiers.

Nick Smarrelli

Nick Smarrelli is professor, parent, spouse, ultramarathon runner, investor, and coach with over 20 years of business experience with a passion for endurance – in sport, in life, and in business. Nick recently left his role as CEO of GadellNet Consulting Services, a certified B Corporation, a 9-time Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company and annual winner of multiple accolades as a “Best Places to Work” in Indiana by both the Indianapolis Business Journal and TechPoint. Nick is currently a Professor of Entreneurship and Organizational Behavior at Butler University. Nick is also finishing his Master’s Degree from Harvard University in Organizational Psychology and serves as a consultant and advisor for both start-ups and growing organizations across the US. He’s a 100-mile endurance runner, on a number of local non-profit boards and a father of three in in dual working household with his wife Caitlin.
