Doug Fauth, JD, IU Health
Chair
Doug is a corporate attorney with a focus on strategic planning and transactions. He is married to Melanie, a healthcare executive who operates companies offering consulting services and mind-body-medicine programs. They have three sons and one daughter-in-law (and one D-I-L to be), and enjoy the outdoors, attending concerts and travel.

Ryan Ranck
Vice Chair
Ryan brings marketing experience to the board following a 30-year career at Lilly, and 12 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical consulting. He is passionate about giving back to our community, and is proud to be on the Board of Directors for Heart and Soul Free Clinic.
Ryan has lived in Indiana most of his life, and is a graduate of Purdue University. He resides in Fishers with his wife Carla, has two daughters, a son in law, and one grandson. He enjoys long winter trips to Florida, golf, supporting the Colts/Pacers/Cubs/Boilers, and spending time with family and friends.

Hilary Herendeen, MSN, FNP-C, Ascension St. Vincent

Hilary is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who currently serves as the Director of Employer Services for Riverview Health. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Health Administration (Indiana University) and Nursing (Marian University), a master’s in Nursing (University of Saint Francis) and is currently pursuing an MBA through the Kelley School of Business (Indiana University). Hilary joined the Heart and Soul Free Clinic Board in 2022 and is passionate about providing access to quality care in central Indiana.
Hilary currently resides in Fishers with her husband, Wes, and their two children, Charlotte and Jack. They enjoy boating, swimming, visiting local parks/playgrounds and cheering on the Hoosiers.

Cindy Brumbarger comes to the clinic with more than 7 years of experience as a critical care nurse. She now focuses on healthcare administration including various board positions and currently works for HealthNet as a director. She is a Westfield resident for over 25 years with a husband and 2 adult sons. Cindy and her husband Ron homeschooled their sons while touring the country in an RV and have visited every state in the continental US + Alaska! Cindy is also an annual Disney passholder and loves to hike.
Catherine Middleton, Community Health

Catherine is a physical therapist by background having served for the last 28 years as the senior leader for Therapeutic Services and Rehabilitation for Ascension St. Vincent Hospitals. She graduated from Northwestern University Programs in Physical Therapy and earned her MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She has lived in Carmel for 35 years raising three children. Ryan, Ben, and Sophia. She is a member of Venture Christian Church and has a passion for volunteering which led her to the Heart and Soul Free Clinic. She volunteers at the clinic Wed evenings and truly enjoys working with the wonderful staff and fellow volunteers.

Jill lives in Carmel with her husband, two sons and daughter. She has over 20 years of healthcare experience and currently serves at the Vice President for Social Accountability for Community Health Network. She is passionate about access to care for the uninsured and underinsured and looks forward to making a meaningful impact on behalf of the Heart and Soul board.
Jill is proud graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington… Go Hoosiers! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her kids in their various activities and taking advantage of all the wonderful activities Hamilton County has to offer!

Janice Vadas, B. S. Pharm, DPLA, MBA, IU Health

Janice is currently serving as Director of Allied Health for IU Health North and IU Health Saxony (soon to be Fishers). She is a pharmacist by background and a graduate of Butler University and WGU.
Janice lives in Carmel IN with her husband Jesse. They have a son (and future daughter in law) living in Boise ID and a daughter (and future son in law) residing in Nashville TN. Janice grew up locally in Sheridan IN and has extended family close by.
Janice finds joy visiting her children, spending time with local family/friends and reading. Her favorite sport to watch is hockey.
Janice is excited to be able to support the healthcare needs of the community in which she lives and works.

Peg Strass, City of Westfield

Peg Strass brings over 25 years of distinguished public service experience across municipal, federal, state, and county government. She has served in leadership roles including Assistant City Manager, Grants Director, and Bilingual Analyst for both the DEA and FBI. A certified grant writer, Peg has successfully secured more than $5 million in funding for community programs spanning public safety, neighborhood development, social services, and economic growth.Fluent in English and Spanish, Peg currently volunteers with the Heart and Soul Free Clinic as a medical translator, helping bridge language gaps for patients in need. She is passionate about equitable access to healthcare and services for individuals of all income and socio-economic backgrounds.Born in Manhattan and raised in Queens and Tenafly, New Jersey, Peg is a proud first-generation American and the daughter of immigrants who met in Brooklyn in the 1970s. After witnessing 9/11 firsthand, Peg transitioned from a career in media—including work with MTV Networks, PR firms, and The Jersey Journal—to a lifelong mission of public service. She holds a B.A. in Digital Communications and Business Administration from St. Peter’s University and is currently pursuing her MBA at Indiana State University’s Scott College of Business.Peg has lived in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Indiana, and the Dominican Republic, and has traveled extensively throughout Latin America. She now resides in Carmel with her two children, both of whom swim competitively for Carmel Swim Club and Carmel High School. She is a certified yoga instructor and is training to become a USA Swimming official.An alumna of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy (Class of 2024), Peg leads the Westfield Diversity Coalition, advancing Mayor Scott Willis’s mission to build a more inclusive community. She also serves as Communications Manager for the Indiana Mayor’s Assistants Organization, where she uplifts civic engagement across the state. In her free time, Peg is a dedicated mentor and advocate for women entrepreneurs, believing in the power of female leadership to transform communities.

Bobby Burlas is a Commercial Real Estate Broker with G2 Real Estate Group – KW Commercial. Prior to his current role, he served as a Senior Advisory Consultant with Ernst & Young in Indianapolis, working primarily with Real Estate clients. A longtime resident of Hamilton County for over 25 years, Bobby is excited to bring his real estate expertise and deep local knowledge to support the organization and the community.
